WHY STORMS COME even when Jesus is with you?

Jesus spoke to His disciples “let’s go to the other side and went off to sleep”. Along the way, the storms rage against the boat and they panicked and woke Him up saying, “Master can’t you see we are perishing!”
Jesus rose calmed the storm, then turned back and rebuked the disciples saying,

“Where is your FAITH?”

Great lesson to learn from this – whatever happens, we are called not to panic as Jesus is with us always as He has promised to be with us always till the end of the age (Mt 28:20) and that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Heb 13:5)
Then why worry at all when He is with us always Who can calm ANY storm.

Now, what are we supposed to do in a storm?
We now know that we are not to panic but remember His word that we are going to the other side.
We are supposed to just not panic but REJOICE instead as Jesus Who can do the impossible is with us.
This world and the prince of the world will try to bring storms in your life but you can laugh at any storm or any scheme of the devil knowing Who is on our side and that He is for us.

STAY CALM, STAY AT PEACE AND REJOICE N THE MIDDLE OF THE STORM!
Storms do come but stay calm and rejoice that Jesus is with us and nothing can drown us and He calms ANY storm.

STORMS AND TRIALS PERFECT YOUR FAITH
Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
James 1:2‭-‬4

The proof of your faith is when you can rejoice or be joyful in the middle of the storm or trial.

HOW CAN ONE REJOICE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STORM OR TRIAL?
In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.
1 Peter 1:6‭-‬9

We who have received Jesus have an imperishable Hope in Christ which is the salvation of our souls – In this we can rejoice that “Whatever happens, we can rejoice in the salvation that we have received through Jesus Christ.”

And my soul shall rejoice in the Lord; It shall exult in His salvation.
Psalms 35:9

Paul was in prison and inside the prison, God was speaking to Him revelations which was one of the unique things God did through Paul, so in the midst of his trial paul was able to say REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS knowing that God was giving him the multitude of revelations which has become most of the New Covenant letters to the church.

Abraham who was called at 75 but did not see the promise fulfilled till 99 and then after he received the promised son he was asked by God to sacrifice the son whom he loved and he willingly obeyed – through all this God was making him whom He called him to be – the Father of faith.

So, when you face trials and storms, it is not just enough to not panic but we are called to REJOICE when we face trials and storms knowing that God is doing a great work inside you which s part of your calling, though not visible now, building the FAITH in you to fulfill all that He has planned through you and for you.
