New Life In Christ wielding the Shield of Faith and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God

Just got done designing a logo for the blog which is a shield and a sword in place and a little description of its meaning “Wielding the Shield of Faith and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God”

Ephesians 6 talks about the Armour of God which we put on in this world, and it goes on to say “In addition to all, taking up the SHIELD OF FAITH with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, WHICH IS THE WORD OF GOD.” Ephesians 6:16,17

This is not a detailed exposition of the armour of God but a few words about the SHIELD AND THE SWORD which we are called to TAKE UP in our hands, rather than take it lying down whatever the devil is throwing at you!

So TAKE UP in your hands the Shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish ALL the flaming arrows of the evil one and also the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God and a double edged sword. Remember what David did when Goliath came shouting violent threats against the armies of the living God, who ran towards the enemy and defeated him as he knew the Lord was with him.

The church being the army of God in this world for the last days should be aware of all the schemes of the enemy and win every battle knowing that the LORD is with us to keep us more than victorious till HE returns.

SO TAKE UP THE SHIELD OF FAITH AND THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, WHICH IS THE WORD OF GOD.
