THE GOODNESS OF GOD

The only One you can trust in your life is the One Who loved you enough to even send His own Son to die for you – He will NEVER forget you nor forsake you – one of the verses from the Bible that touched me in my initial days is:

“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!” Isaiah 49:15

A mother reflects the grace of God – this is very true of the mother God gave me in this world – whatever I do she would never forsake me and I know it from experience. We live in a corrupted world where there could be mothers who may not be like that always, but I was fortunate to have a mother who reflected the grace of God, but its perfection is in God – His grace is much greater as it says even if a mother may forget, God will never forget you. Such is the love of God and we can always find rest and take refuge in His goodness and the mercy He has towards His children at all times.

David says this in Psalm 16, “Preserve me, O God, for I take refuge in You. I said to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good besides You.”

“I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will dwell securely.

For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.”

(The last verse above speaks prophetically of Jesus Who was forsaken on the cross by the Father when He became sin for our sake and He cried “My God, My God, Why have you forsaken Me?” – He suffered all the pain and humiliation and was forsaken on the cross for our sake. But God did not abandon Him to Sheol nor allowed His Holy One to see decay.)

Our sins were laid upon Jesus and He became a sacrifice in our place so that we are always accepted in the Beloved.

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need”. Hebrews 4:16

KNOW THAT YOU WILL NOT BE ABANDONED BUT ACCEPTED IN CHRIST JESUS.

  1. Amazing His Love, no doubt in that our beloved people leave us but God never leave us even whenever we are unfaithful in obeying His word. His Grace is sufficient in our weakness.
