TWO PEOPLE I would have adored had I not known Christ – Mohammed Ali, and Steve Jobs – who accomplished much and received the praises of the world but both their lives were tragically cut short while at their peak.

BEWARE OF PRIDE that comes before destruction which makes man arrogant and boastful of their own accomplishments.

Someone may ask – should you live without accomplishing anything with your life on earth?

No, no one said that!

WILLIAM CAREY whose accomplishments were beyond human ability spoke and proved these words:

“Attempt great things for God

Accomplish great things for God”

Only make sure you give all the glory to God – the One Who gave you your very life and breath – acknowledge God in all things and He will make sure you end well as He has an expected end for you.

BE HUMBLE, NOT PROUD

“God is opposed to the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time, having cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares about you. 

Be of sober spirit, be on the alert.

Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 

So resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brothers and sisters who are in the world. 

After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 

To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.
