DONT FORGET the One Who gave all

Was enjoying some good ol’ songs – real good ones – which never grows old and there is much more always to explore, see and enjoy, which could take a lifetime and still not be enough – man’s talents and what he creates. Is it wrong to enjoy the good things in life which was given to us? No, not at all – but it is good to know from Whom the good things come from – ALL GOOD THINGS come from the Father of lights which He gives to enjoy – but the problem or the danger is when we forget the One Who gave it all to us.

God Who created us knows the heart of man and He spoke to the Israelites whom He brought to the land that flows with milk and honey that they should not forget Him when they build large spacious houses, settle down and enjoy the goodness of the land – but thats exactly what they did – they forgot God and suffered the consequences of it many times.

Another story that comes to mind is the parable Jesus spoke – popularly called the Parable of the prodigal son – where the younger son wanted all the good which the father had kept for him, took it and went far away from the father – from whom he recieved all the goodness, and eventually landed up with nothing, along with the pigs.

The natural man’s nature is to enjoy the goodness that has been made available to him, but tend to forget where it all came from – if only man would realise and be thankful for all the goodness he receives and enjoys – where it all comes from and be thankful for it he would be able to live a meaningful life on this earth and continue in the goodness of the Father from whom comes all the good things as scripture says, All good things from the Father of lights (James 1:7) and He gives all things to enjoy. (1 Tim 6:17)

God is not against us enjoying good things in life but when man takes the good from God and goes away from Him and forget Him, he will land up in the pit ultimately.

Wherever far you have walked away from the Father you can still come back to the Father Who never forgot you nor plan to forsake you, but is waiting to receive you with open arms and clothe you again and honor you and celebrate your coming back to Him.

Jesus has made the way for all human beings to come back to God as the Father is still waiting.

SO WHATS THE CONCLUSION?

The conclusion, when everything has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil. Ecclesiastes 12:13,14

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessolonians 5:16-18
